School Clubs

Below is a short description of the after school and holiday clubs we offer throughout the year. Please note that not all clubs are offered at all times. Your child can take part in an after school club by signing up at the school office. Please note that club places are limited and places are offered on a first come first serve basis.

You can download and print letters for the currently available clubs by following the links below.

Methodist Church – The local Church group will be in organisng activities to encourage interaction and collaboration.

 

Cookery Club – Mrs Davies and Mrs Faulkner help the children to learn the skills to produce recipes from around the world using lots of delicious ingredients and some they will not have tried before!

Girls Football – Mr Noon will be running a girls football club until half term. They will be representing the school in various competitions.

Cross Country Lunchtime Club – Mrs Jewitt will be training the children ready for the races in the Leicestershire Primary Cross Country League at Prestwold Hall. Children who want to run for fitness and fun can join the sessions too.

Tag Rugby – Mrs Davies will be continuing her very popular tag rugby sessions. She will be joined by Mr Cox who will be coaching the older children.

Multi Skills – Mrs Davies will be running a multi skills club to teach the fundermental skills needed to take part in physical activity.

Baking Club – Take part in baking sessions in the school kitchen. They will learn the skills to create a different recipe each week and bring home samples to share.

Lego Animation Club – The children can take part in Lego Animation Club where they will learn how to use the stop animation software on our tablets in order to create their own mini movies

Games Club – A chance to bring in and play a variety of games from home or our own selection. Join in with friends and children of different ages. This is run by Mrs Davies and Mrs Faulkner

Forest Schools – Forest School is a unique educational programme that takes place outdoors in the natural environment. It aims to build up children’s skills, abilities and confidence week by week through practical hands-on activities.

 

Robot Lego Club – Take part in Robot Lego Club where they will learn how to build their own robots out of Lego and then program them to navigate obstacle course and take part in robot wars
