Everywhere was definitely ‘spotty or sporty’ today. From Pudsey onesies to team kits; dotty socks to sporty socks and colour galore! It was brilliant to see so many supporting this event.
A huge Pudsey appeared in the hall overnight, created from contributions from every class. A montage of collage! Piecing it all together was a little challenging which I think you will agree with but definitely worth the effort given the final result.
The Pudsey colouring competition was judged at lunch time by the School Council and Mrs Smith will announce the results on their behalf shortly. The total amount raised was over a whopping £250, well done! A superb effort everyone and thank you for all your support.
The primary KS2 assembly theme for this week was ‘Reasoning’ as well as those selected for their creativity, confidence, engagement and resilience. Full credit goes to those who have really lifted their learning game to demonstrate these skills. Keep it up and remember, we will still be looking out for those adept reasoners for next week!
During classes, the children have discussed why it is important to honour Remembrance Day and many participated in parades or minute silences at sporting events at the weekend. On Monday we observed a two minute silence at 11 am to show our respect for those who gave so much.
We have just received the news that Mercenfeld raised an amazing total of £228.03 for the Royal British Legion from the sales of poppies, wrist bands and pins within our school. This was the highest amount raised by any school in the area and they very much appreciate our efforts. A huge thank you to all who contributed to this very worthy cause.
