KS2 Celebration Assembly 28.6.19
KS2 Celebration Assembly 28.6.19

This week the theme was ‘communication’, a vital skill in all aspects of life’s journey. Our stars were recognised for the development of this skill across their learning; being able to make themselves understood with eloquence; adjusting their language and interaction to be mindful of ages and for a change in attitude by asking for help. These skills have also become more apparent in the playground where the children have resolved issues or upsets independently from adult intervention by using better communication skills

Well done to everyone who was selected and keep it up!

Next week the theme is ‘confidence’, something that come naturally to some whereas others need to develop it through the things that they do.

KS2 Stars of the Week 21.6.19
KS2 Stars of the Week 21.6.19

This week the theme was ‘creativity’ and our ‘Stars’ were selected because of their creative contributions in their learning. For some it was their ability to create something formulated in their head onto paper in writing. For others, it was their prowess at constructing homework or class learning in different mediums and formats. ‘Thinking outside the box’ was definitely one of the creative skills shown by all the children this week and could indicate possibilities for inventors in our midst. Watch this space…

Well done to everyone who was selected and keep it up!

Next week the theme is ‘communication’, a vital skill that can be the measure of success in many aspects of life’s journey.

Stars of the Week 14.6.19

This week the theme was ‘imagination’ and our ‘Stars’ were recognised for their superb imaginations in different aspects of their learning. For some, it was their ability to write imaginative poetry that creates those images in the readers’ heads. Techniques such as personification, similes and metaphors were in abundance, amazing all the teachers! Others have developed their imaginative ideas over a period of time enabling their work to rise to the next level! How fabulous is that?

Well done to everyone who was selected and keep it up!

Next week the theme is ‘creativity’! This is very similar in a many aspects to this week’s but can involve different skills and character muscles to support it.

Stars of the Week 7.6.19

This week was the joint culmination of the themes from the week before half term and this week. The candidates were nominated for their abilities and prowess in ‘risk taking’ and ‘teamwork’! It was wonderful to hear how the ‘Stars of the week’ have demonstrated skills in communication, fairness, problem-solving, integrity and growth mindset. These are all some of the previous themes discussed in our weekly ‘Route to Resilience’ lessons, assemblies and are definitely becoming part of our school culture.

Well done to everyone who was selected and keep it up!

Next week the theme is ‘imagination’! At the moment, I cannot imagine who the teachers will be decide to pick from all of our imaginative crew.
