Celebration Assembly 14.12.18

Our theme this week was ‘perseverance’, something I needed in abundance to get a photograph of the star children with a large, prickly tree in the way!

All of the children who were nominated this week have persevered in their learning to improve their progress in many areas. ‘Never give up’ is a mantra we are persevering to encourage in all children as a positive mindset that will help them in all aspects of their futures.

Also recognised in the assembly, was the amazing achievement of one of our year 6 girls who has become the Under 12 National Archery Champion. Despite only taking up the sport two years ago, she has progressed rapidly to be at the top of her sport. Well done and keep it up! Bring on the Olympics!

Mrs Jewitt thanked the commitment and perseverance of her Cross Country athletes, who despite the torrential rain at the last race, performed amazingly! Looking forward to next season and, hopefully, a few more budding Mo Farrahs!
