Phew… we’ve finally managed to squeeze in the last of the Sport days dodging the weather and the boggy field! What has been impressive to see was the enthusiasm and encouragement on both the part of the children and the people who came along to support the events. At some times, the cheers were deafening and only became quieter as their voices began to tire and they become hoarse! Thank you to all.
It was great to see the children participating in the races and the different sports stations, showing skills, agility and prowess in areas they would not normally shine in. Happy, smiling faces demonstrated the children’s enjoyment. Just take a look at some of the photos from the three days.
Many thanks to all the staff and volunteers who helped to set up and run the events and especially to Mrs Jewitt, who despite having passed on the responsibility of p.e coordinator this year, has successfully organised them again.
Mrs Jewitt’s next mammoth job is to collate the final scores which will reveal this year’s winners. Good job she is now the maths Coordinator!
Watch this space for the results!
